Pool heat pumps are very efficient, converting the power used and returning five times or more the energy as heat.
This unit returns 13.23KW + in heat output for only 2.3KW of electricity input.(The heat output will rise along with the outside temperature). Another way of looking at it is, for every $1 of power input you get $5-$6+ of heat! This compares with resistance heaters, like your spa which may heat an element and return only 1kw of heat for every 1kw of electricity in, or only $1 of heat for every $1 you spend.
Heat pumps are also considerably cheaper to run than electric or gas heating saving you up to 75%, Solar heating tubes on your roof require a lot of plumbing to install, need a pump to run, can be unsightly and NEED THE SUN! You can run your Swimmax Pool Heat Pump 24/7 quietly and economically in the cold and without the sun! They will work in temperatures from -15 degrees c to + 43 degrees c.This Swimmax Pool Heat Pump is also quiet at 51 DB(a)
Just turn it on!

The pipe installation can be done by yourself if you are handy, or your local plumber.
With 40mm High Pressure PVC pipe (class 12 - 50mm external) simply have your pool heat pump inlet and outlet connected to your pool filter system outlet and inlet, after your pool pump.
Bypass valves as per diagram in picture gallery are required to balance water flow through the pool heat pump for optimum performance.
Then have an electrician install a Suitable power supply on its own circuit with RCD and turn it on!
Check our heat pump kit to complete your setup.
Pool heat pumps work exactly the same way as your air conditioner or fridge, they extract the ambient temperature from the surrounding air, even in winter. This heat is absorbed by the refrigerant gas, compressed and further heated, Then rather than heating the air like an air conditioner, they heat the water via the Titanium Heat Exchanger Coil and return it to your pool.
The unit will work properly in any desired location as long as the following three items are present:
The unit may be installed in virtually any outdoor location as long as the specified minimum distances to other objects are maintained (see drawing below). Please consult your installer for installation with an indoor pool. Installation in a windy location does not present any problem at all.

Swimmax 13/18 - very happy
By: Mark on 11 October 2019I have had one of these heating my pool since 2012. I live in SE QLD and the unit is probably one size larger than I needed - my pool is about 45,000 litres. I chose the larger unit because it was only $200 cheaper at the time and I didn't want to get caught out with not enough heat. I would buy the same again. It has heated my pool easily from late September to mid May each year and run faultlessly. I have it running on controlled load and it costs about $400 to $500 per year. I run the temp at 31 deg, which I have found is a good balance for the kids, the cool spring/autumn nights and heavy summer rains that we sometimes get. I also use a good quality Daisy thermal pool cover, which is essential if you are serious about heating your pool. It will reduce the load on the heat pump quite a bit by warming the water on sunny days and reducing heat loss at night.
